The Classic

Friends are Coming tonight? Serve them something special they will remember!

While in London honeymooning, we popped into the London Ritz for a late afternoon pick-me-up!
Barkeep strongly suggests we give this little gem a try. So, of course, we sign up immediately—and a very special cocktail arrives—that did not disappoint.

Rightfully named, The Classic, this martini shows up bursting with authentic flavors. Most of the ingredients remain identifiable, having stood the test of time: Kettle One, St. Germain, and fresh citrus. However, a magnificent flavor, one I could not place, left a lovely finish. Finally, with the last sip of my second Classic, the scrutiny stopped. ‘Excuse me, Sir? What’s in this?’ He shows me a Stunning blue bottle of Italicus, Rosolio Di Bergamotto. A citrus liqueur, The Sip of Italy, as it’s called. He offered me a small sample—which was simply beautiful–and then he did something fabulous. He gave me the recipe! So, as it was freely given to us, we now freely give to you. We hope you and your friends enjoy. Cheers!
